Rolex Miami OCR: second day of boat-race
Good wheather conditions during the second day of the Rolex Miami OCR. On Tuesdays 448 crews, coming from 45 nations in the selected classes for the Olympic Games, have sailed.
In the Laser Radia class have been run off other 2 boat-races for a total of 3 heats. For the boat-race there are 57 the crews. 1. Paige Railey (Usa) 2. Marit Bouwmeester (Ned); 3. Cecilia Carranza Saroli (Arg), whereas the Arsenik athlete, Francesca Clapcich (Ita) is 22nd at the end of the second day.

First day of the Rolex Miami OCR.
630 of the best yachtsmen in the world are registered to the Rolex Miami OCR. They come from 45 nations that sail in the 13 selected classes for the Olympic Games of 2012.
In the Laser Radial class it has been run off the 1 heat. 1° Raileys (Usa), 2° Lindbergs (Den) and 3° Young (Gbr). Our Francesca Clapcich (Ita) is 12th at the end of the first day. 57 boats in the boat-race.
The program plans a double score test on Saturday. The ten highest-ranking of every race will be part of the Medal Race.
The awards and closing ceremony will take place on Saturday, January 30th at the Coral Reef Yacht Club.
The ISAF Sailing World Cup is a series of annual boat-races in 7 stages.
The first one is taken place in December in Australia with the Sail Melbourne. On January the second one, the US Sailing’s Rolex Miami OCR. The other 5 stages will be perform in Europe and they are: the SAR Princess Sofia MAPFRE Cup at Palm (Spain); the Semaine Olympique Francaise at Hyeres (France); the Delta Lloyd Regatta at Medemblik (Holland); the Kieler Woche at Kiel (Germany) and finally the Skandia Sail for Gold Regatta at Weymouth (Great Britain).
At Laila Soufyane The “Race of Miguel”
Rome – Broke the record of participants of the edition number 11 of the Race of Miguel, the demonstration organized by the Club Atletico Centrale that remembers the figure of Miguel Benancio Sanchez, the cross-country skiing-poet man who would have wanted to become physical education teacher but he has been kidnapped during the night between the 8 and the 9 of January in 1978, in his house in Buenos Aires, to the 25 year-old age.
5300 athletes in all have presented themselves to the start , making the Roman race the 10 kilometers more attended of Italy.
The circuit has been the classical “bridge round”, with the start from via dei Campi Sportivi, also with the crossing of the Milvio Bridge and the finish inside the Paolo Rossi Stadium of athletics.
Once more it has been a great party for everybody and to show, through the race, the global respect of the human rights.
For the female category it is to record the victory of our Laila Soufyane. The Arsenik athlete, running in 36′16″, has beaten the athlete of the Fiamme Azzurre Marta Gaiardelli.
Among the men our athletes Bona (second) and Turroni (tenth) have put highlight on them on competing with a high level group. In particular Francesco Bona, whom losing his final sprint he has also lost the chance to jump on the highest step of the podium. The competition has been weinned from the European Indoor Champion of the 3000 meters, Cosimo Caliandro.
To also point out the presence-test of our tri-athlete Andrea Secchiero (Triathlon Rho Protek) who has arrived 15th in a little unusual competition for him.
The demonstration has gone on the air on Rai Sport which has gone live more than a hour of competition.
Good performance of Vincent Scuro in half marathon

At Torre del Lago in Versilia there is the National Half Marathon of 21,097mt like every year in this period. Our athlete from Alessandra, who runs with the athletic Gavardo 90 from 2010, has made a good impression (he’s coming back from a hard trainig in Malta in preparation of the crosses) classifying himself 5 absolute and first Italian, leading the competition from the beginning with goog level athletes like Rotich Solomon, who will be the winner of the competition and the Moroccan Rachi, Jamali and Taqi. After many attacks, Scuro placed a distance from all the bests at 17km and crossing his end with Taqi. The final time has slightly been conditioned by the strong wind and cold, but Scuro has gotten a good 1h08’ however. Now the season goes on with the regional crosses and for the main objective at Volpiano, the Italian cds on February 21st .

The promotion of the edition 2010 of the International Prize of the Job has started with the delivery, to all 69 teams participants to the edition of the last year, of a CD containing all the shots realized by the official photographer of the demonstration. The CD contains the pictures of the CorriFerrara Inline 20k and Heart Skating, two demonstrations that shows some of the most beautiful parts of the City of Ferrara, from the Castle to the Cathedral.
